By Keyhole - Eugene · Posted July 12 The VATS is really a non issue here... the system is working fine. The ecm is what shit its self. It is most certainly NOT plug and play either. I do appear to be dealing with 2 separate problems tho, one being a wire (Comms to ECM) issue on top of the original corroded ECM. 1995 Corvette ECM - programming?? By hangtime · Posted July 12 Get a replacement and send it off and have the VATS deleted. . . although from what I know about the VATS system the ECM should be plug and play if it has a BCM. The signal from the BCM to the ECM to enable fuel continue is a 30hz or 50hz wave, it's not based on the vats resistor value. Option 2 is I order an OBD1 Flash tool for these. The VATS part is working great on this one actually.
